Vinny Locsin
I spent 12 years at Amazon building things that didn't exist yet — Amazon Global Store, a cross-border retail architecture that expanded Amazon's presence to 48 new countries; Alexa Enterprise, an enterprise voice platform that tripled revenue in year one; and the payments integration after Amazon's acquisition of Whole Foods Market, unifying two fundamentally different organizations without sacrificing speed or trust. Diagnose what is structurally broken. Design the system that replaces it. Build it so it runs without you.
Velo & Co is what that capability looks like applied to businesses at inflection points and people at defining crossings. The method is the same whether the subject is a company's operating model or a person's life architecture. The work is figuring out what comes next — and building the architecture that makes it last.
Since leaving Amazon, I also founded and run Beechwood Ventures — a private investment firm with partners and a portfolio that has consistently delivered above-target returns.
I am a graduate of Harvard Business School and Brown University, and I am based in Los Angeles.
What's in a name
Velo comes from the Latin for sail and the spirit of velocity — forward movement, driven not by speed for its own sake but by clarity of direction.
There's a moment in sailing when the wind fills the sail and everything that was static begins to move. Not by force. By design — the right shape, the right angle, the right conditions aligned. The boat doesn't fight the wind. It reads it, responds to it, and uses it to go somewhere it couldn't go before.
Our mission
A world where people and businesses stop getting stuck. Where every inflection point becomes a turning point — not a dead end. Where purpose isn't a destination but a practice: something you return to, refine, and carry forward.
To design transitions that last. We work with businesses at inflection points and individuals at life crossings to build not just a path forward but the capability to find the next one — and the one after that.
